BLACKCAPS drop to sixth

The BLACKCAPS have dropped to sixth place on the ICC ODI rankings after the disappointing 4-0 series loss in South Africa.

The New Zealanders, who were in second spot before Australia arrived here earlier this year, now sit one point behind England and four ahead of seventh placed India.

The series result has seen South Africa move ahead of the BLACKCAPS and comfortably into second place, four points ahead of Pakistan.

While the results in South Africa were disappointing, there were some positives to come out of the tour. two impressive innings may have seen him cement a spot in the middle order, while Kyle Mills put in some excellent bowling performances.

It must also be remembered that although the 4-0 result was disappointing, most of the games went down to the wire and could have gone either way.

The BLACKCAPS now need to put the series behind them and focus on how to beat Australia in the up-coming Chappell-Hadlee Trophy.
