England have beaten the White Ferns by six wickets in the third and final ODI at Bert Sutcliffe Oval to win the series three nil.
After a solid, yet not spectacular display with the bat from the Ferns, England were made to chase 221 for victory and did so comfortably with 7.2 overs in hand.
The White Ferns opted to bat first and looked comfortable at 63 for one. New Zealand continued to steadily accumulate runs, but also lost wickets at regular intervals.
The middle order delivered for the home side though as Amy Satterthwaite (58) and Katie Perkins (51) both brought up half centuries to make sure their side would finish with a competitive total.
A late collapse meant New Zealand were all out after 48.4 overs with 220 on the board. It should have been 30 or 40 more.
Laura Marsh was the best of the bowlers for England and finished with figures of three for 28 from ten overs.
In reply England looked fragile as they lost two early wickets, including captain Charlotte Edwards for nine.
New Zealand's opportunity to strike was now.
However after that it was all the visitors as Sarah Taylor and Lydia Greenway put on an incredible 201 for the third wicket.
Taylor finished with 106 not out, while Greenway contributed 84. After 42.4 overs England made the required runs to win by six wickets and complete an unbeaten tour.
One more early wicket would have put the Ferns in the box seat, but as things have gone all tour, they couldn't quite capatalise at the right time.
Rachel Candy was the pick of the White Ferns bowlers and finished with figures of two for 35 from eight.
It was a disappointing finish for the White Ferns, as they look to regroup fot two world cups later this year.
