The Wellington Blaze have beaten the Northern Spirit by nine wickets in a rain affected match at Kelburn Park, Wellington.
Play was reduced to 12 overs per side with Northern asked to set a total. Nicola Browne was the best of the batsmen with 32 from 21 with Morna Nielsen hitting 21 from 17, reaching a total of 85.
Wellington only lost one wicket in pursuit as Amanda Cooper (23 from 26) and Sophie Devine (48 from 34) guided their team home.
The Wellington Blaze have recorded three wins from four matches and are on equal points with second placed Auckland Hearts but just behind on net run-rate. The Northern Spirit are back in fourth.
