Blundell seizes opportunity with fighting hundred

Video Highlights

Tom Blundell reeled off an 83-ball century as the BLACKCAPS a high-scoring World Cup warm-up loss to the West Indies in Bristol.

Scorecard

In a game where 750 runs were scored, Blundell took his opportunity with Tom Latham still resting his injured finger.

He belted eight fours, five sixes and combined for a fighting 120-run partnership with his captain Kane Williamson (85) as the BLACKCAPS were dismissed for 320 in 47.2 overs.

Earlier the West Indies sounded a pre-tournament warning by belting 18 sixes as part of a mammoth 421 run total.

Trent Boult was the best of the BLACKCAPS bowlers finishing with 4-50 to help bowl the Windies out in the final over.

Shai Hope led the way for his side with a polished hundred while Evin Lewis and Andre Russell added pacey half-centuries.
