Bates scored 77 but Australia claimed a six wicket victory

Video Highlights

The WHITE FERNS have fallen to Australia in the second T20I by six wickets at Allan Border Field, Brisbane.

Scorecard

TOSS: Australia's Meg Lanning won the toss and asked the WHITE FERNS to bat first, just like game one.

Suzie Bates was at her best early on, finding the boundary with ease off both pace and spin as the WHITE FERNS looked to set big.

Bates found a partner in captain Amy Satterthwaite, the pair taking their partnership past 50 before the halfway mark of the innings.

The WHITE FERNS opener was eventually dismissed for 77 off 52 balls as the visitors posted 145/8 from their 20 overs.

Lea Tahuhu struck early for the visitors to dismiss Beth Mooney cheaply before the run out of Ashleigh Gardner made it two for the WHITE FERNS.

However, opener Alyssa Healy (57) and Elyse Villani (50) steadied the ship for Australia, ensuring they got home in the 19th over for a six wicket win.
