NZC Ticket Terms and Conditions

All tickets issued by New Zealand Cricket (Incorporated) (“NZC”) for International Cricket Matches, are issued on the terms and conditions set out below ("Conditions"):

  1. Venue Rules and Regulations: These Conditions are deemed to incorporate the rules and regulations of the ticketer ticketing the Match and the Venue at which the Match is played ("Venue Regulations"). You agree to comply with any policies, procedures or reasonable instructions notified to you by NZC or a Venue in relation to your attendance in the Venue. In case of any conflict between these Conditions and such Venue Regulations, these Conditions will prevail.

  1. Acceptance of Conditions: Any person who purchases, possesses and/or uses or attempts to use any Ticket shall be deemed to have accepted, and agreed to comply with, these Conditions. Any individual purchasing a Ticket for a third party shall be deemed to be acting with the authority of each Ticket Holder for whom they are making that purchase, including acting with the authority of each such Ticket Holder to agree to these Conditions on their behalf.

  1. Breach of Conditions: A breach of any of these Conditions may, in addition to any other remedy NZC may have, and even if the Ticket Holder did not have notice of the condition or the breach, result in refusal of entry, eviction/expulsion from the Venue, cancellation or voiding of the Ticket and the cancellation of any other Tickets held or purchased for the same Match or any other NZC Matches without refund or compensation of any kind. NZC and/or stewards, security, safety personnel and/or any other persons legally authorised to take such steps at the Venue (“Authorised Persons”) may use reasonable force to stop and/or remove any patron in breach of these Conditions.

In addition, NZC may impose sanctions including, but not limited to, banning or prohibiting the original purchaser from purchasing Tickets to future Matches or refusing to sell or supply Tickets in future to persons found to have breached these Conditions.  Such actions are without prejudice to other remedies which may include a fine and/or legal action.

  1. Conditions of Entry: Ticket Holders agree that it is an essential condition of issuance of Tickets and the right of admission to the Match conferred on the Ticket Holder that any person at, or entering, the Venue is, without limitation, expressly prohibited from:
  • selling, licencing or otherwise publishing, disseminating or reproducing for a commercial purpose, whether in whole or in part, any recordings taken or made inside the Venue (including, without limitation, photographs, video recordings or sound recordings) without the prior written consent of NZC;
  • broadcasting or narrowcasting by any means whatsoever (including, without limitation, by way of mobile telephone, modem or other device) any images, sounds, data, results or commentary of or concerning any of the matches or other activities at the Venue without the prior written consent of NZC;
  • reselling any Tickets at a premium or to use any of them for advertising, promotional or other commercial purposes without the prior written consent of NZC.  If a Ticket is sold or used in contravention of this condition, the bearer of the Ticket will be denied admission to the Venue;
  • engaging in any conduct, acting towards or speak to any player, umpire, referee or other official or other spectators in a manner which offends, insults, humiliates, intimidates, threatens, disparages or vilifies in any manner whatsoever;
  • any of the following:
    • engaging in ambush marketing;
    • displaying commercial or offensive signage;
    • selling any goods or services;
    • holding or bringing any prohibited or restricted items, including alcohol, weapons, glass, cans, fireworks, missiles or any other items which, in the reasonable view of NZC (or Authorised Persons) are or could be considered dangerous into the venue;
    • propelling any object onto the playing surface/area prior to, during, or after any Match;
    • wearing or giving away political, advertising or promotional materials;
    • without official authority, entering, attempting to enter the playing arena, assisting, encouraging, inducing or soliciting any other person to enter or attempt to enter the playing arena;
    • using:
      1. any electronic device to engage in any online betting activities in relation to the result, progress, conduct or any other aspect of a match taking place at the Venue; or
      2. any electronic device to communicate or transmit any form of commentary, data or other material in relation to a Match for any commercial purposes; or
      3. in any way, or seeking to in any way, improperly influence the result, progress, conduct or any other aspect of any Match or offer to any third party any bribe or other reward to engage in such activities.

If I am suspected of acting or assisting someone acting in breach of this condition, I am deemed to have unconditionally accepted and agreed that I will fully cooperate with any enquiries made by NZC, the International Cricket Council, official cricket authorities and any relevant police and crime prevention authorities (including by providing my name and address, an explanation for my suspicious conduct, and being photographed and/or filmed), for the purposes of any criminal investigations or other legal proceedings and/or in connection with any investigation into a potential breach of this condition or domestic or international cricket anti-corruption rules.

  1. Inappropriate Conduct: You must not engage in any conduct (whether through the use of language, gestures or otherwise) which is likely to offend, insult, humiliate, intimidate, threaten, disparage or vilify any other person (including players, match officials, other officials or spectators) on the basis on their race, religion, culture, colour, descent, nationality, ethnic origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, marital status and/or maternity status. Such conduct will not be tolerated. You acknowledge that the failure to comply with this condition may result in the imposition of other sanctions (such as being banned from the Venue in the future) and possible further action including without limitation criminal prosecution.

  1. Venue Photography Consent: In addition to the conditions set out above, it is a condition of entry to some Venues for International Cricket matches that Ticket Holders agree to being photographed, filmed and recorded as a NZC Ticket Holder. In order to enhance security surveillance equipment, including security cameras, are used in and around the Venue. Ticket Holders also consent to use of any film, image or recording of themselves at the match or at the Venue at the discretion of NZC, its commercial partners, broadcasters, media and news agencies, and law enforcement agencies without compensation or further notice. The collection, use and disclosure of any such film, images or recordings will be in accordance with applicable laws.

  1. Liability: Any person attending a Match acknowledges that his/her presence and/or movement in and around the Venue is at his/her own risk and that to the maximum extent permitted by law, NZC, Authorised Persons or any other relevant body cannot be held liable for any loss and/or harm except that which is caused by negligence, breach of these terms or wilful misconduct of NZC, Authorised Persons or any other relevant body, including but not limited to bodily or mental harm, personal property damage or loss, or any other loss and/or harm arising from and/or occurring during attendance at the Venue, and without limitation to the foregoing, no claim, complaint or proceeding will be brought by Ticket Holders in relation to the same.
  1. Defined Terms: In these Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires:

  • Match means a BLACKCAPS or WHITE FERNS match played under the administrative control of NZC in New Zealand, the particulars of which are detailed on the Ticket;
