Hailing from the famous Bracewell family Doug was destined to make a name for himself in the cricket scene, he is the son of Brendon Bracewell, nephew of John Bracewell, and cousin to Michael Bracewell.
After representing New Zealand at age group level, Doug Bracewell made his international debut in all formats of the game in 2011.
The bowling all-rounder is arguably New Zealand Cricket’s best athlete and regularly tops the physical testing charts.
His consistency and ability to nip the ball make him an ideal first-change bowler. Bracewell was recalled into the BLACKCAPS Test squad to face Sri Lanka off the back of being in fantastic form across formats, and being the Central Stags’ top first-class wicket-taker.
Bracewell’s finest moment to date was taking six wickets to help bowl the BLACKCAPS to a famous Test victory over Australia in Hobart in 2011.
